Afghanistan’s famous comedian Asif Jalali died in a Kabul hospital on Wednesday, the Afghan Ministry of Information and Culture confirmed.
Family members said the cause of his death was a heart attack.
Jalali was popular as Kaka Asif, a personality who performed in TV shows, cinema and other TV sketches.
Jalali started his professional career in a comedy program called “Khanda Bazar,” which was aired by TOLO TV eight years ago. Later on, he started working with other Afghan media outlets.
Jalali was born in Kapisa province in the north of Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife and five children.
