AWCC Seeks to Extend Internet Services Across Afghanistan

Afghan Wireless Communication Company is seeking to extend its services to the rural areas across the country, AWCC officials said.

An official of the AWCC, Aliullah Sarwari, said that the company has provided internet services in more than ten districts over the last two weeks.

"In Kajaki, Musa Qala and Baramcha of Helmand, Dehraut district of Khas Uruzgan, Nish and Maarof districts of Kandahar, and Nawbahar and Sewri districts in Zabul were provided with communication and Internet services," he said.

Meanwhile, some residents of Kabul called for high-quality Internet to be provided.

"It is good that we have good-quality Internet all over the country," said Shabnam Azimi, a resident of Kabul.

"I call on the officials to pay attention to the internet quality and its speed in the rural areas," said Aria, a resident of Kabul.

Based on available figures of the AWCC, the company is providing communication and Internet services in more than 280 districts.
