In the competition for the contract of a nephrite mine, a private company won with a bid of three million Afghanis. 

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said this process was held transparently, and twelve companies competed in it. 

“12 companies participated in this competition, and their proposals have been collected on time and checked very carefully and transparently by the responsible board,” said Shahabuddin Delawar, acting minister of Mines and Petroleum.   

The head of the winning company said that they will start the extraction of the nephrite mine soon in Nangarhar province.  

“We are happy that we won this project, and we will try to work perfectly,” said Elamsha Baba, head of the winning company. 

“The minister talked with us and asked us. After taking everyone's opinion they announced the winner,” said Sher Mohammad Salih, head of a private company.
