Quality of Domestic Products Should Surge: Minister

The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce (MoIC), Nooruddin Azizi, said that the quality of domestic products should increase.

Speaking at the “Industry Week” exhibition, he said that the MoIC has established a department of information.

“We have established a general database for the companies. The companies will be registered in the database without being charged. If we see anyone’s product is not in good quality, then they should not be upset from us,” he said.

The second deputy of the Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi. said that the Islamic Emirate prevented the cultivation of drugs and producing of narcotics.

Hanafi called on the international community to invest in industrial, trade and development projects as substitutes for the cultivation of opium.

“The Islamic Emirate has banned cultivation, producing, use and smuggling of narcotics here (Afghanistan). If you want Afghanistan, neighboring countries and regional and beyond-region countries to be be safe from the damages of narcotics, you should support the Afghan nation,” Hanafi said.

The exhibition was attended by the acting Minister of Public Health (MoPH), Qalendar Ibad; acting Minister of Economy, Din Mohammad Hanif and acting Minister of Vice and Virtue, Mohmmad Khalid Hanafi.

“When we bring security to our people, then the second right of the people is for the government to provide them with sources of commerce and business for Halal income,” Ibad said.

“Afghanistan has a major capacity in mining, agriculture, transit, energy and materials for construction and also manpower, thus, with less investment, it can provide an opportunity of self-sufficiency and exports with high quality and at a fair price,” Hanif said.

Nearly 600 industrial companies participated in the exhibition “Industry Week”.

According to the organizers of the exhibition, around 160,000 people visited the exhibition, with women making up 40 percent.
