Agricultural Exhibition in Kabul Ends

The exhibition of agricultural products organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in Kabul has ended.

Participants of the exhibition say that in the last four days, in addition to good marketing, they have sold a large part of their products.

The students of the Faculty of Agriculture of Kabul University, who displayed some of their agricultural products after participating for the first time in this exhibition, are pleased with the reception of the people and government officials.

"We received many promises from many organizations. We received promises from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock." said Farhad Sofizada, student of the Agriculture faculty of Kabul university.

Some other participants also say that they have obtained contracts to export their products.

"We brought products such as dry yogurt, honey, cumin, memlai, barberry and mountain tea from Badakhshan province. We also brought walnuts, which were sold. The products we brought in this exhibition had good sales," said Mary Gul, a participant of the exhibition.

"We sold in retail form and signed a contract. We signed a big contract that we will send 20 kilograms of saffron to the United States of America for the first time," said Mohammad Nader, another participant.

Visitors consider the use of domestic agricultural products important for the development of the country's economy.

"This exhibition is a good tool for the development of the country's economy, and it has a great impact -- so people should be aware of their domestic products," said Shams Azizi, a visitor.

The organizers of this exhibition emphasized that in the last four days, more than 200,000 people have visited the exhibit of agricultural products in this exhibition.

"In the 1402 exhibition, the number of participants was better than in previous years," said Amanullah Rawan, one of the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Agricultural products were displayed in 260 booths in this exhibition for four days.

Based on the information of the deputy administration of the prime minister’s office, eighty percent of the workforce is working in the agricultural sector. 21 to 33 percent of the country's gross domestic product is agricultural products.
