3 Billion Afghani Saved in National Contracts, Says Deputy PM's Office

The Economic Deputy Office of the Prime Minister's Office has announced that approximately 3 billion afghani have been saved in the contracts of projects approved by the National Procurement Commission.

According to this office, the National Procurement Commission has so far approved 317 large and small projects with a total value of about 85 billion afghani.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy emphasized that saving in contracts and implementing infrastructure projects are fundamental priorities of the Islamic Emirate.

Abdul Latif Nazari, the technical deputy minister of economy, said: “Saving in projects and contracts helps offset budget deficits, initiates new projects, reduces corruption, and effectively manages the country’s economic growth.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment views savings in government contracts and projects as beneficial for the country’s economic growth.

Khan Jan Alkozai, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, said: “If the government saves and prevents unnecessary expenditures, this action is in the country's best interest. Such savings can be utilized for new projects. Saving is essential and must be implemented.”

According to information from the economic deputy PM's office, the projects—some completed and others under implementation—not only facilitate the country's development but have also created job opportunities for hundreds of people. These projects play a vital role in infrastructure development and strengthening the national economy.
