FARAKHABAR: Afghan Govt Insists on Ceasefire

The Presidential Palace reacted to the reduction in violence plan and said that peace efforts without a full ceasefire are "useless."

Siddiq Siddiqi,spokesman for the Presidential Palace, said that peace talks between the  Taliban and US are ongoing in Qatar, but have not reached a peace deal.
 

Meanwhile, representatives from the United Nations, the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have met with Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad in Dubai and describe the reduction in violence plan as good step toward peace.
