US special representative to Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, arrived in Kabul on Wednesday to meet Afghan leaders to discuss ways of resuming the peace negotiations, Reuters reported.

This follows US President Donald Trump’s visit last week to Afghanistan to celebrate Thanksgiving with US forces at Bagram Airfield and to meet with President Ashraf Ghani.

Meanwhile, Anas Haqqani, recently released during prisoner swap, gives interview and says he hopes the war will end.
