COVID-19 Latest: 75 of 532 Cases Test Positive in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 75 new cases of the coronavirus out of 532 samples tested over the last 24 hours.    

So far, 106,802 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 5,987 known active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health.    

In the last 24 hours, the ministry also reported 404 recoveries from COVID-19. 

The number of total cases is now 38,716, the total reported deaths is 1,420, and the total number of recoveries is 31,638.    

The cases were reported in Herat (12), Kandahar (12), Daikundi (25), Kabul (4), Balkh (7) and Ghor (7) provinces.  

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 920,283 and the number of global coronavirus cases is 28,764,183, according to Johns Hopkins University.
