Afghanistan: 35 of 267 Cases Test Positive for COVID-19

The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 35 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 267 samples tested in the last 24 hours.    

The ministry also reported that seven people have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.    

So far, 110,135 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 5,132 known active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health.    

The number of total cases is now 39,227, the number of total reported deaths is 1,453, and the total number of recoveries is 32,642.    

The cases were reported in Kabul (14), Balkh (6), Kunduz (4), Daikundi (5), Badakhshan (5) and Parwan (1) province.  

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 32,860,689 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 32,860,689, according to Johns Hopkins University.
