Pakistan's Lahore University to Provide Aid to Kabul Hospital

Pakistan Ambassador in Kabul, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, said that based on an agreement signed between the University of Lahore and Mohmmad Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital Kabul,  Lahore University will provide medical equipment and other essential needs to the hospital.

The acting Minister of Public Health said that Pakistan distributed salaries to employees of the Mohmmad Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital Kabul.

There was a signed "letter of understanding between Jinnah hospital Afghanistan Kabul and the University of Lahore for upgradation of medical facilities,” said Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistan ambassador in Afghanistan.

“From six months to one year or maybe more than that Lahore University is interested in paying the salaries of the employees of the hospital,” said Qalandar Ibad, acting Minister of Public Health.

The employees of the Mohmmad Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital Kabul said that they have not received the salaries for the past several months.

“The salaries of three months still remain unpaid. They said they will pay us but it is not clear when will they pay us,” said Abdul Ghafor, an employee of the hospital.

Pakistan constructed Mohmmad Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital Kabul, Naib Ameenulah Khan hospital in Logar, and a hospital in Nangarhar province.
