The Islamic Emirate acting minister of public health, Qalandar Ibad, in the "G5 meeting," asked Tehran to help Afghanistan raise the capacity of its physicians.

Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, the spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, said that Afghanistan needs more in terms of increasing the capacity of doctors in the treatment of cancer.

"Our goal at these meetings is to provide the foundation for the diagnostic and treatment fields in Afghanistan, as well as to build medical facilities in the country's unpopulated areas and lay a foundation for enhancing the skills of Afghan physicians,” the spokesman said.

Some doctors said that the conditions for increasing the capability of doctors—especially female doctors—should be provided inside the country.

"It will be good if the acting public health minister takes inspiration from a country like Iran and comes back to the country and creates a good system for women to increase their capacity in the country," said Sayed Abdullah Ahmadi, the former head of Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital.

"Our specialists should be sent to Iran on scholarships for training, or Iranian specialists should be invited to conduct trainings for the specialists of each of our departments inside the country," said Omid, a physician.

The "G5" meeting, which included representatives from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the World Health Organization (WHO), is held in Iran with the aim of strengthening cooperation between these countries.
