New Medical Equipment to Boost Healthcare Services in Ghazni

Medical equipment and vehicles worth around 30 million afghani have been donated by the Ministry of Public Health and some aid organizations to several hospitals in Ghazni.

The donated items include oxygen generators, ultrasound machines, ambulances, and motorcycles, which have been distributed not only to hospitals in Ghazni’s provincial center but also to clinics in its districts.

Officials stated that the newly provided equipment will enhance healthcare services and reduce the difficulties people face in accessing medical facilities.

Zarak Zirak, head of Ghazni’s Public Health Department, said: "We will distribute seven ambulances, six ultrasound machines, 33 motorcycles, and an oxygen generator to the clinics in the center and districts to better serve the public."

Samin Nikofar, a provincial officer from the supporting organization, said: "The ambulances, ultrasound machines, and motorcycles are designated for Ghazni center and districts such as Ajristan, Andar, and Qarabagh, where people are very underprivileged."

Hamid Gul, a resident of Ajristan district, expressed satisfaction, saying: "We desperately needed this equipment. Our patients often died while being transferred to hospitals; with these ambulances and motorcycles, 90% of our problems will be solved."

Meanwhile, local officials have assured better service to the people.

Abdul Rashid Omari, deputy governor of Ghazni, stated: "Today is our day of trial. With the system that God Almighty has given us, we are being tested. We must serve the people in the right way."

According to Ghazni’s Public Health Department, in the solar year 1403 (2024-2025), 3.6 million patients were treated in 180 medical centers across the province.
