At least one policeman was killed and two others were wounded by gunmen in the Bagrami district of Kabul on Tuesday morning, local police officials said.  

The incident happened around 6:30am local time in Botkhak village as police gathered and made a fire to warm themselves and “gunmen opened fire on them” officials said. 

However, Kabul police in a statement said that one policeman was killed in the attack and only one other was wounded. 

The incident is under investigation, the statement said. 

No group has claimed responsibility.
