At least one security force member was killed and two others were wounded in a Taliban attack on Anardara district police headquarters in Farah province on Sunday night, local officials said.
“The Taliban detonated a car laden with explosives near the police headquarters, and this was followed by fighting with security forces,” said Taj Mohammad Mujahid, provincial governor.
“Several Taliban were killed in the response of the security forces clearing operation,” he said.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the attack.
Local officials said that the Taliban attack has been pushed back and the “situation is under control now.”
