Six people were wounded in a blast that targeted a vehicle carrying the employees of the country’s power distributor, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Thursday morning, DABS said in a statement.

The incident happened at around 9 am local time in Jalalabad city's District 3, the statement said, adding that “four DABS employees and two civilians including a woman were wounded.”

The wounded have been taken to the government hospital for treatment, the statement said.

Local security officials have not commented on the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
