Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday night killed the cousin of Bismillah Aimaq Aimaq Adel, a journalist in Ghor and the head of a local radio network in the province, who was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen on the first day of this year.
Adel’s father has said that his nephew was serving as a security guard for Ghor hospital and is the fifth member of his family who has been killed by the gunmen associated to Amanullah Bek.
Meanwhile, the governor of Ghor said that a delegation has been dispatched to Ghor to investigate the murder of Adel's family members. However, there are reports about what the delegation has found.
“There was an armed man riding on a motorbike, I saw the soldier martyred there,” said Abdul Ghani, an eyewitness.
“Again, gunmen of Amanullah Bek and Ehsanullah Bek come and kill and go, I called the governor and he asked me to bring an arrest warrant from the president,” said Gul Mohammad, the father of Bismillah Aimaq.
Ghor governor has said that the probe team which was sent to Ghor to investigate the case has not given any details about the progress.
“Anyone who is behind this case must be arrested by the government, if action not taken, this family will be eliminated,” said Sediqullah Tawhidi, the head of the Journalists’ Safety Committee.
Bismillah Adel’s brother and two nephews were killed in an attack by armed men on their house on February 25. Seven other members of their family were wounded in the incident.
