Seven civilians, all relatives of a security force member, were killed in an attack by armed men in Khinjan district, Baghlan province, on Thursday evening, the Khinjan district governor Abdul Nasir Rasikh said.
He said the attack was carried out by the Taliban on a house belonging to a security force member in Walian Valley in the Khinjan district.
The district governor said that all victims are civilians and were young men who were relative to the soldier.
Rasikh said that two Taliban were also killed in the incident.
According to him, the soldier has fled from the area following the attack.
Taliban has not commented on the incident.
