An Afghan Air Force's Mi-17 helicopter crash landed in Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday night, the Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The incident happened in Jaghato district in Maidan Wardak.

The helicopter was sent to the area to transfer wounded security force members, the ministry said.  

Three security force members were killed and one more was wounded in the incident, the Defense Ministry said.

Taliban has claimed to have shot down the helicopter.
