Seven Killed in Twin Explosions in Kabul

Two explosions occurred in Kabul city’s police district 10 on Tuesday, officials confirmed.

Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said the first explosion occurred in front of the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital.

According to Karimi, the second explosion also occurred in an area close to the hospital.

Gunfire has also been heard from the blast area.

Saeed Khosti, spokesman of the Interior Ministry, said one of the explosions occurred at the entrance of the hospital. 

According to Khosti, the explosions have caused casualties but so far the exact details are not known. 

He said security forces have arrived at the scene. 

A TOLOnews reporter at the scene said ambulances were carrying injured people to hospitals from the area.

Meanwhile, Reuters has reported that 15 people were killed and 34 others wounded in these explosions. 

A security source told TOLOnews that after the explosions, five gunmen entered the hospital and clashed with Islamic Emirate forces.

According to the source, all the attackers were killed.

Islamic Emirate spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said seven people were killed in the today's attack.
