Foreign troops extracted data related to the Interior Ministry, authorities said on Thursday.

“The biometric system was damaged. They have taken the data with them. This is a big betrayal of the country. We have been trying to repair the systems which have been damaged by the foreign forces,” said Alam Gul Haqqani, head of the department.   

The spokesman for the Interior Ministry, Saeed Khosty, also confirmed the US troops’ interference in the ministry.   

“They (US troops) have destroyed many things. The internet and server system was damaged,” Khosty said.   

The US during its rapid withdrawal from Afghanistan destroyed equipment at the Kabul airport, including military choppers.
