Kabul: Tensions Should Be Solved Through Diplomatic Channels

The Islamic Emirate said that tension between Afghanistan and its neighbors will not benefit anyone. Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, called on the world, especially neighboring countries, to resolve tension through diplomacy and peace with Kabul.

“When the situation between Afghanistan and the neighboring countries is tense, it is natural that it does not bring good consequences, but the policy of the Islamic Emirate is to have good interactions with countries, especially neighbors, and our first choice is to solve the issues through diplomatic channels and dialogue,” said Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate.

In recent weeks, the current government in Afghanistan has faced incidents with neighboring countries Iran and Pakistan. Political analysts believe that the continuing tensions between neighboring countries and Afghanistan will negatively affect their interaction with the Islamic Emirate.

“Recently, tensions in some parts of the country (Afghanistan) over relations with the Taliban have raised concerns about stability, and with relations between countries, especially Pakistan, which has historically repeated its harsh policy toward Afghanistan,” said Faiz Mohammad Zaland, university lecturer.

“In the current situation, the government of the Islamic Emirate must try to resolve these disputes through diplomacy and dialogue,” said Abdul Habib Fani, political analyst.

After the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, efforts have been undertaken to expand diplomatic relations with the world, especially with neighboring countries.

“The relations of Iran and Pakistan with Afghanistan under the current government are neither fair nor fundamentally equal, and the Taliban does not have a competitive relationship with the two countries at home,” said Mirwais Afghan, journalist.

Prior to Pakistan's airstrikes on Khost and Kunar provinces, the issue of Afghan refugees in Iran also caused tension between Tehran and Kabul. But officials in Kabul are urging neighboring countries to resolve the issue diplomatically.

Although nearly eight months since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, no country has formally recognized it.
