Islamic Emirate Leader Meets with Provincial Intelligence Heads

Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said on Twitter that the Islamic Emirate leader Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada met with officials of the general intelligence department and provincial intelligence heads.

According to a statement issued by Mujahid, Akhundzada ordered the officials to protect the rights, culture, religion and property of the citizens.

Mawlawi Hibatullah said that no one should be detained and jailed without solid proof.

“They should treat the people with good conduct. The people should not be disturbed and detained due to weak allegations, and if it happened, it should be compensated. Until the information is complete-- no one should be allowed to interfere in any institution and disturb the people. The order is issued and I hope it will be useful," Mujahid told TOLOnews.

In the meeting, the need to help the challenges of poor people and treat addicts was emphasized.

The Islamic Emirate leader also emphasized the implementation of his six-principle decree regarding women, according to Mujahid’s statement.

"The intelligence personnel were told to focus on this to implement the decree. There have been violations of the decree in some areas. In some cases, the voices of women have not been heard and teenage girls were married. The intelligence should pay attention to this,” Mujahid said.

The political analysts believe that the meeting between the leader of the Islamic Emirate and intelligence officials is important for the country.

“The duty of intelligence is very important for a country. It should be provided with guidance and thus this meeting has been important,” said Sayed Bilal Ahmad Fatimi, a political analyst.

Some citizens of the country urged the Islamic Emirate to treat the people with good conduct.

The statement quoted the Islamic Emirate leader as saying that the intelligence department is under his direct supervision and receives direct orders from him.
