Islamic Emirate to Send Another Diplomat to Moscow: Source

The Islamic Emirate will reportedly send another diplomat to Moscow, a source privy to the issue told TOLOnews.

The source said that Abdullah Yasar will be introduced as a diplomat for the Afghanistan embassy in Moscow on Monday.

The news was initially released by a Russian media organization.

“Sending a diplomat to Moscow is needed, this is a reality now, because Afghanistan purchases (fuel) from Russian and there is a business going on, and thus the embassy must be active. However, this is not on a level of ambassador, both Kabul and they (Moscow) know it,” said Torek Farhadi, a political analyst.

Yasar will be the second diplomat of the Islamic Emirate sent to Moscow.

“The Russians know that if they don’t have good relations with the current government in Afghanistan, the Americans will take the position and the US is also trying to not let Afghanistan interact with only Russia and China,” said Hassan Haqyar, a political analyst.

“The Russian side has concerns regarding the Afghan soil, that Central Asia might become insecure because of Afghanistan. This is important for the national security of Russia,” said Niamatullah Bizhan, a political analyst.

Earlier, the Islamic Emirate introduced Jamal Nasir Gharwal as Chargé d'affaires of the Afghan embassy in Moscow. Nasir received his credentials from the Foreign Ministry of Russia.

“In accordance with the diplomatic laws, when a country doesn’t recognize another country, it can still have general consultancy there and it can send diplomats to take care of the consultancy affairs and it can also accept the diplomat of other countries,” said Aziz Maarij, a former diplomat.

The Islamic Emirate currently has representatives and diplomats in Pakistan, China, Russia and Turkmenistan.
