A blast occurred Wednesday morning in the Silo Markazi area of PD 5 in the capital city of Kabul.

Kabul security department’s spokesman Khalid Zadran said that based on initial reports 8 people were wounded in a blast which targeted the vehicle of a transport vehicle that was carrying the employees of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in PD 5 of the city.

He said the wounded have been taken to the hospital and security forces have arrived in the area.

"I was near the area when a really loud explosion was heard, many people were injured. The explosion happened next to a bus," a local resident said.

The security officials have yet to comment on it. 

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
