Clashes in Paktia Along Durand Line Have Stopped: Islamic Emirate

The Islamic Emirate said that the situation has become normal after clashes occurred in the Dand-e-Patan district of Paktia alongside the Durand Line between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistani military.

A spokesman for the Islamic Emirate said that efforts are being made to prevent such incidents in the future.

On Tuesday clashes occurred between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistani forces along the Durand Line in Dand-e-Patan district, said 203 Corps spokesman Mohammad Yar Jawad.

The videos which are circulating on social media show fire exchanged between the two sides.

“There is no problem now. The situation is normal. But I hope there will be no problem in all areas of the border,” said Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.

Karimi said that Kabul wants to have good relations with all neighboring countries.

“The stance of the Islamic Emirate is to have good relations with all countries, particularly with the neighboring countries,” he said.

The analysts said that the two sides should solve their issues via negotiations.

“It is necessary that the Taliban sits with the Pakistani officials and talks about this problem and finds a solution for this problem,” said Stana Gul Shirzad, a political analyst.
