Erdogan, With Pakistan PM, Calls for Joint Efforts for Afghan Stability

At a press conference welcoming Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for mutual cooperation for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

For the establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan, it is not only our responsibility for Afghan brothers and sisters but at the same time it is essential for all of us to prevent the common threats and risks, he said.

He also referred to Afghanistan’s humanitarian situation, saying that in order to mitigate the humanitarian crisis that "our Afghan brothers and sisters are facing, we will continue to cooperate and collaborate together.”

The Islamic Emirate said that it wants good relations with all countries and said that humanitarian aid is a need for Afghanistan.

“The countries that want to help Afghanistan should cooperate in economic development, in alleviating poverty, and in creating work opportunities, which are the top demands of the people,” said Suhail Shaheen, head of the political office of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar.

“If they want, these two countries can help in peace and stability in Afghanistan which also benefits them,” said Sayed Jawad Sijadi, an international relations expert.

The Islamic Emirate said earlier that regional peace and stability is connected to stability in Afghanistan.
