Islamic Emirate Chief of Staff Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat said that efforts are underway to train the country's special forces in the Ministry of Defense.

Addressing the graduation ceremony of 450 soldiers from Mansouri Army Corps in Khost, Fitrat noted that if this opportunity is not provided, special forces will be sent to other countries for training.

“To the extent that we are able, our forces will receive training in Afghanistan. We will send them abroad for training if it was necessary and beyond our ability,” he added.

“The three months training was in the military and religious sections. It included use of weapons, engineering or other relevant matters,” said Zabihullah, a military instructor.

A number of military experts said that if the current government of Afghanistan is not recognized by the international community, no country will be willing to train its forces.

“In the situation that the Taliban are in, without being recognized, no country is willing to train professional officers for them,” said Asadullah Nadim, a military expert.

“Given the current situation that Taliban are in, it will not be possible to send Afghan Air Force personnel to foreign countries for professional training until the current administration is recognized,” said Sadiq Shinwari, a military affairs analyst.

This comes officials from the Ministry of Defense have said that efforts are underway to form a “powerful force”.
