Daesh in Afghanistan Gets 'External Support': Moscow

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Daesh in Afghanistan seeks to undermine security and stability in the country and its neighboring countries, while relying on external support, TASS reported.

Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian foreign ministry, also expressed concerns about the possible destabilization of the Central Asian countries by Daesh.

"In this, ISIL is clearly encouraged by external forces; ISIL members themselves have confirmed that the terrorist group receives funds from foreign intelligence agencies and there are foreign terrorists among its fighters," said Zakharova, as quoted by TASS- a Russian news agency.

"Daesh is not a threat to powerful member countries such as America, Russia and NATO member China, and neighboring countries may be a threat if they take power. According to Russian authorities, it is actually a media war against America...," said Asadullah Nadem," a military intelligence.

The Islamic Emirate responded to the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, saying that Daesh is being destroyed in Afghanistan, and that this group will not pose any threat to other countries from Afghanistan.

“Daesh may be used by some of the destructive parties and those who are still plotting against Afghanistan. We know it because sometimes the Daesh fighters recently arrested in Afghanistan or who were eliminated, were foreigners and nationals of nearby countries,” Mujahid said.

Earlier, the Islamic Emirate said that as a result of the fight against Daesh, more than 100 centers of this group have been destroyed.
