Several officials of the Islamic Emirate accused some nations of violating human rights in Afghanistan at a gathering titled "a peaceful nation and a responsible system" that was held in Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan province.
They noted that while other nations accuse the Islamic Emirate of violating human rights, these nations themselves violated human rights many times during the previous Afghan government.
"They have used the mother bomb here, and no one was here to say that there are human rights; any advanced weapons they had, they brought and tested in Afghanistan, and no one said it was human rights,” The chief of staff of the Islamic Emirate, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, said.
"What the West wants is that those who were appointed by them, if they come then the [government] will be inclusive, or they want us to have differences," said Khairullah Khairkhwah, the acting minister of information and culture.
Some of the attendees of the gathering urged the Islamic Emirate's officials to reopen the Rah-e-Abrishom highway, the schools and universities for females, and to provide people with access to opportunities for employment.
“For the advancement of the culture, they should reopen the Abrishom highway, which is one of the demands of the nation and is needed,” said Ghulam Haidar Atashpur, a resident of Badakhshan.
“They should provide education opportunities for our sisters under the Islamic framework so that they do not feel deprived,” said Abdul Basir Wasiq, another resident of Badakhshan.
Speaking at the gathering, Amanuddin Mansour, the commander of the Omri Army Corps, underlined the need to maintain security in Badakhshan and mentioned that sixteen individuals had been detained in relation to previous attacks in this region.
“Sixteen of the enemies who were involved in the bloody attacks and assassination of our Mujahideen were arrested,” Mansour noted.
The commander of the Omri Army Corps comments come as Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, the province's deputy governor, and Safiullah Samim, the former head of Baghlan security, were killed in recent attacks in Badakhshan.
