The deputy minister of Refugees and Repatriation, Abdul Rahman Rashid, told TOLOnews that there are more than 380,000 internally displaced people in the country.
Rashid said that the highest numbers of displaced people are from the provinces of Herat, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar, and Balkh.
Abdul Rahman Rashid added: "The Islamic Emirate has decided to voluntarily repatriate them to their original provinces, and their needs and problems will be addressed. We intend to provide them with accommodation."
At the same time, a number of internally displaced people whose houses were demolished by the Kabul Municipality asked the Islamic Emirate to build shelters for them.
Saleh Mohammad, 42, who has been displaced from Nangarhar to Kabul, said: "I am now going to my village, but I do not have the ability to take the wood and household items to the village. I am forced to sell this wood at half price."
"I am disabled and have a widow and orphans who are dependent on me. What should I do now?" said Awaz Khan, another internally displaced person.
"The problem is that this place has been destroyed, and now there is neither money nor a place to move the house and family elsewhere," said Zar Wali, another internally displaced person.
According to the information from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, during the past year, more than 7,000 families have been relocated to their original provinces.
