The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the attack on foreign tourists in Bamyan.

In a statement, the OIC said that the perpetrators of this attack must be arrested and brought to justice as quickly as possible.

The OIC's statement read: "The General Secretariat expresses its dismay over this shocking attack, whose perpetrators should be promptly brought to justice and due investigation should be conducted to determine the masterminds and the real motivations behind such a senseless attack. The General Secretariat renews its call on the de facto authorities in Kabul to intensify their efforts to neutralize any terrorist threat on Afghan soil.”

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Afghanistan.

“Against the backdrop of the ongoing extremely difficult security situation in Afghanistan, the Russian Foreign Ministry strongly recommends that Russian citizens refrain from visiting this country for personal, including tourism purposes,” said the statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior stated that investigations into this incident are ongoing and assured foreign tourists of their safety in Afghanistan.

Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, said: "Investigations into the attack on tourists in Bamyan are ongoing; they are not yet complete, but I am confident that the investigations will be finalized and the criminals will be brought to justice."

Military analyst Sadiq Shinwari told TOLOnews: "If such attacks on tourists in Afghanistan continue, they will have a negative impact on Afghanistan's diplomatic relations with other countries. The security sectors must prevent these attacks."

Political analyst Sayed Akbar Agha shared his view: "Opponents of the Islamic Emirate do not want security to be established in Afghanistan on a global level and are trying to prove that Afghanistan is unstable to the world."

Last Friday, foreign tourists and civilians were targeted in an attack in Bamyan, resulting in the deaths of six people, including three foreign nationals and three civilians.
