The security command of entrances to Kabul said that in the past three months they have arrested more than twenty individuals in connection with drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and vehicle theft.
Abdullah Jalali, head of planning and policy of the Kabul gates security command, told TOLOnews that compared to the past, criminal activity at the Kabul gates have decreased.
Jalali said: "In the drug sector, we have achievements, including the discovery of 3,532 K-tablets and 38 other types of drugs, and we have arrested ten people in this regard."
Residents entering Kabul from southern provinces are inspected by security forces to prevent suspicious individuals from entering the city.
"We are ready to serve to prevent the smuggling of drugs and weapons and to ensure that suspicious individuals do not enter Kabul and disrupt security during Eid days," said Abdullah, a security officer.
"The Islamic Emirate conducts inspections with complete precision and strict measures, and the security forces' treatment of us was appropriate, and we are happy," said Anwar Shah, a resident of Jalalabad city.
"For our security, these checkpoints are very good and very effective for the people," said Sabawon, a resident of Kabul.
At the same time, a number of military analysts believe that better control of drug and arms smuggling requires repairing scanners and deploying professional personnel.
"To ensure the security of Kabul citizens, the existing scanners from the past can be more effective provided that they are managed by professional individuals," said Zalmai Afghan Yar, a military analyst.
The security command of entrances to Kabul also emphasized that compared to the past, criminal incidents have also decreased.
