The second round of the 14th presidential election of Iran began at 8:00 AM Tehran time today.
Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili are the candidates who have advanced to this final stage of the election.
The candidate who secures fifty percent plus one of the votes will become Iran's ninth president.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's religious leader, stated: "Today is an important political event for our dear nation."
An Iranian citizen said: "Democracy means that anyone can participate if they want to, and they don't have to if they don't want to."
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, and Seyed Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh were candidates who have now announced their support for Saeed Jalili in this round.
The Iranian Election Commission has announced that citizens of the country, both inside and outside Iran, can vote at approximately 59,000 polling stations.
An Iranian citizen said: "Today, I came to vote out of love for my country and my leader. I had to cast my vote."
Another Iranian citizen said: "My view is that with every vote you cast, you are expressing your opinion on the decisions that will be made in the country where you live."
The winner of this election will be determined as Iran's ninth president.
In the first round of the 14th presidential election of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian received 42.6 percent of the votes, while Saeed Jalili secured 38.8 percent.
