Ministry Announces Key Cooperation Agreements to Enhance Citizen Services

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced the signing of three cooperation agreements between the Afghan Post (under the Communications Ministry) and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, and the National Statistics and Information Authority.

Officials from the Afghan Post said that the purpose of these agreements is to provide facilities for the citizens of the country.

Ahmad Jan Bilal, the head of state-owned companies said: "We are witnessing the signing of agreements with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the transfer of diplomatic documents, with the National Statistics and Information Authority for the transfer of electronic ID cards, and a mutual service agreement with the Ministry of Education."

Meanwhile, Najibullah Haqqani, the acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that the current budget is derived from domestic revenue and that the Islamic Emirate has made good progress in the economic sector.

He stressed the modernization of postal services in the country, stating that this process will be carried out gradually.

Najibullah Haqqani said: "The Afghan Post has reached a stage where we can rely on it, and the door-to-door service program has also started. Many people mistakenly think that as long as houses are not numbered then there is no system; this is a gradual program that will be achieved."

The Deputy Minister of Education also pledged that facilities would be provided for students in obtaining certificates in the country.

Sebghatullah Waseel, Deputy Minister of Education, said: "The esteemed Directorate of Certificates and Afghan Post will sign another agreement to provide more services and facilities for the people."

Earlier, the Ministry of Education also signed an agreement with Afghan Post to facilitate the distribution of certificates to 12th-grade graduates.
