Gatherings in Herat and Balkh Condemn Israeli Attacks on Gaza

Hundreds of people in separate gatherings in the provinces of Herat and Balkh condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and the killing of civilians.

They called for the immediate end to the war in Gaza and called on Islamic countries to not remain silent in the face of Israel's aggression against Palestine and the massacre of civilians.

Protesters gathered at a mosque in Herat and called the killing of civilians in Palestine a crime against humanity.

Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, the acting deputy governor of Herat, said at the gathering: "There is still time for Islamic countries and Islamic scholars to stand united with the Palestinians and make decisions against Israel. The Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan stand with the people of Palestine."

"It is shameful and embarrassing that Arab countries, especially Palestine's neighbors, have closed their borders to Palestinian Muslims," said Mohammad Noor Rahmani, the preacher of the mosque in Herat.

"If the neighbors allow, we are ready, and all the people of Afghanistan are ready to support Palestine and are prepared to jihad in support of Palestine," said Enayatullah Talib, a madrasa teacher.

In the north of the country, hundreds of people in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif chanted anti-Israel slogans and demanded an end to Israel's aggression against Gaza.

Zabihullah Noorani, head of Information and Culture in Balkh, said: "Where is the UN Security Council when children are being killed in Palestine, and where are those who claim to ensure security in the world to prevent the martyrdom of oppressed Palestinian Muslims?"

More than 300 days have passed since Israel's bloody attack on the Gaza Strip. According to Gaza's Ministry of Health statistics, nearly 40,000 people have been killed and more than 90,000 injured in Israeli air and ground attacks so far. Reports indicate that most of the victims are women and children.
