The Islamic Emirate called the acceptance of its chargé d'affaires in Kazakhstan "good political progress" and has praised Astana for this action.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that Mohammad Rahman Rahmani has been accepted as the chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Emirate in this country.
A part of the statement from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs states: "The Republic of Kazakhstan, with the important goal of expanding trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, has confirmed Mohammad Rahman Rahmani as the trusted representative of Afghanistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan."
Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said: "The diplomat of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Mohammad Rahman Rahmani, has been accepted as the chargé d'affaires of the Afghan Embassy, which is a good advancement in the field of politics between the two countries."
A day earlier, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs also accepted the credentials of Badruddin Haqqani as the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate. Badruddin Haqqani is the second ambassador of the Islamic Emirate, after Bilal Karimi, who was accepted as the Islamic Emirate's ambassador to Beijing.
But what impact does the acceptance of the Islamic Emirate's ambassadors by these countries have on Kabul's relations with the world?
"The acceptance of Afghanistan's embassy representatives in Kazakhstan and the UAE signifies the establishment of diplomatic relations with regional countries, which is beneficial for the people. We need to maintain connections with Asian countries," Moeen Gul Samakanai, a political analyst, told TOLOnews.
"Legally, relations with regional countries remain intact, but strategic relations are still subject to a series of criteria that need to be focused on. The Islamic Emirate must take the lead in this regard compared to other countries," Muqaddam Amin, another political analyst, said.
Although the Islamic Emirate has not been recognized by any country, over the past three years, according to the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister, the Islamic Emirate has activated representation in more than 35 countries.
