Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, met with local officials from Samangan province, religious scholars, and tribal elders, stressing the importance of unity among the people and the need to avoid ethnic, linguistic, and regional divisions.
In a statement, the Directorate of Information and Culture of Samangan reported that the leader of the Islamic Emirate urged officials to rigorously enforce Islamic laws and decrees. The statement also noted that Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada highlighted internal divisions and feudalism as the root causes of the country’s misfortunes over the past few decades.
"The Amir al-Mu'minin (May Allah protect him) stressed maintaining unity and avoiding linguistic, ethnic, and geographical prejudices. He called on all officials to be diligent in enforcing Islamic rulings and decrees, to work towards bringing the people closer to the Islamic system, and under no circumstances to entrust responsibilities to those unqualified." the statement reads.
Ismatullah Moradi, the spokesperson for the governor of Samangan, speaking about the leader of the Islamic Emirate's meeting with local officials of Samangan in Balkh. said: “His Excellency Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah protect and preserve him) continued his visits to the northern provinces and met with Samangan officials in Balkh province. During this visit, both civilian and military officials were present, and Sheikh Sahib gave his recommendations to the officials on various matters.”
Meanwhile, several political analysts have offered their insights on the leader of the Islamic Emirate's recent visits to the northern provinces.
Moeen Gul Samkani, a political analyst, told TOLOnews: “These visits are having a positive effect. They show that the leader is willing to engage with his people and be visible to the public. While he may have only met with a select few, it would be more impactful if he extended these meetings to a wider audience.”
Sayed Akbar Sial Wardak, another analyst, remarked: “If these meetings provide the general public with an opportunity to openly discuss their concerns with the Amir al-Mu’minin, their impact would be much greater and could drive meaningful reforms within government institutions.”
The leader of the Islamic Emirate had earlier visited the provinces of Faryab and Jawzjan, where he emphasized the need for strict enforcement of Islamic rulings during his discussions with local officials, religious scholars, and tribal elders.
