During his visit to Balkh province, Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, urged members of the Islamic Emirate to resolve their differences according to Islamic laws.
In meetings with government officials and religious scholars, he called on officials to first apply Sharia to themselves and to actively work toward preserving the Islamic system.
“Respected scholars and mujahideen must maintain unity and solidarity among themselves. They should obey decrees and orders, resolve disputes according to Islamic Sharia, end oppression in society, and ensure that rights are given to their rightful owners so that people understand that the purpose of this system is to serve them.” he has said.
Zabihullah Noorani, head of the Information and Culture Department in Balkh, told TOLOnews about the meeting: “He advised the respected scholars to maintain unity among themselves and to work on promoting unity and solidarity among ethnic groups in the same way.”
Residents of Balkh see the visit of the Islamic Emirate’s leader to their province as impactful in addressing their challenges.
Ahmad Saber, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, told TOLOnews: “Our demand is that opportunities for work and education be provided for the youth and that the other demands of the people are considered.”
Feroz Ahmadzai, another resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, said: “When Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada visits the provinces, it has a good impact, and we see a bright future for Afghanistan.”
The leader of the Islamic Emirate also stated that in the past, in this same hall and pulpit, the infidel countries waged ideological and intellectual wars to enforce their laws in society. However, now when a decree is issued according to Sharia, people cause an uproar.
