Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that he does not care about Islamabad's policies and will send a delegation on behalf of his province to negotiate with the Afghan interim government officials.
Gandapur added that due to Islamabad's policies, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffer every day, and he will send a delegation to Afghanistan to resolve the existing issues through dialogue.
Regarding this, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said: "How long should I tolerate this? I am declaring here now, if this is your policy, keep it within your homes. Because of your policy, our people are dying. I will personally talk to Afghanistan, I will talk as a province. I will personally meet and talk."
Meanwhile, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, said no one is allowed to negotiate with other countries as a province, and such statements should be prevented.
Pakistan's Defense Minister said: "Gandapur has said that I will personally talk to Afghanistan as a province; no one can negotiate with another country as a province. This is a direct attack on the federal system. Such remarks are a deadly poison for Pakistan and should be handled very carefully and prevented."
Earlier, the leader of Pakistan's Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam had also said that the country's government links its failures in ensuring security to Afghanistan.
"They have very correctly and logically decided to directly meet with the Islamic Emirate regarding resolving disputes across the Durand Line," said Salim Paigir, a political analyst.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa previously stated in a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party meeting that Pakistan, by providing military bases to the United States, facilitated military operations against Afghanistan.
