Achievements of Technical, Vocational Education Authority Published

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority reports that it offers training in 111 fields across ten sectors at its centers for young people.

Ghulam Haidar Shahamat, the head of the authority, said in his annual performance report that the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority has active training centers in 34 provinces and 254 districts, and in the past year, 80,000 students have been enrolled in these centers.

Shahamat added that the centers of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority offer courses in fields that are in demand in the country's markets, and young people gain a permanent profession upon graduation.

The acting Director of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority stated: "These trainings include ten sectors and 111 fields of study in which the youth of the country are engaged in learning technical and vocational skills. Given the current situation in the country, both young and old are gaining employment in the market by acquiring technical and vocational education."

Meanwhile, some officials of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority also mentioned that they have provided opportunities for technical and vocational training to 35,000 members of the Islamic Emirate forces, and also established educational and professional training programs for the visually and hearing impaired. Additionally, they have drafted 70 regulatory documents to systematize the administrative affairs of this authority.

Ghulam Saeed Ehsas, the Deputy of Technical and Vocational Affairs, said: "Here, we have prepared curricula for our blind and deaf brothers who were disabled in past wars or were born with disabilities. Educational centers have been arranged for them, and efforts are underway for them as well."

Fazl Rahman Fazl, the Deputy of Finance and Administration of this authority, said: "Compared to the past, the revenues of this authority have doubled."

The officials of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority have activated and prepared for implementation specialized courses in CLC and PLC in order to boost Afghanistan's economy and achieve self-sufficiency in providing technical and vocational labor for industrial parks and small and large factories.
