Efforts Ongoing to Create Job Opportunities: Rashid

Mohammad Younus Rashid, the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, in a meeting titled "Opportunities for a Bright Future for Youth" in Parwan, stated that 20 million young people in the country are eligible for work.

This official from the Islamic Emirate said that the interim government is trying to create more job opportunities within the country for the youth.

Mohammad Younus Rashid, the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, said during this meeting: "There are more than 20 million young people in Afghanistan, and the current available job opportunities within the government framework are approximately one million."

Mohammad Jawid Zia-ur-Rahman, the security commander of Parwan, said: "They have not yet silenced themselves in a battlefield of thoughts, and they continuously work day and night to mislead our youth from religion and the path of Allah."

In his speech, the Deputy Minister mentioned political, economic, and banking restrictions imposed by the international community as one of the factors contributing to youth unemployment and illegal migration.

Mohammad Edris Anwari, the Deputy Governor of Parwan, also said: "They restricted Afghanistan’s banks, they limited Afghanistan's trade. They thought the people of Afghanistan would die of famine, but still, thanks to God, the abundance of sustenance in Afghanistan is greater than in any other country."

In this meeting, some participants called on the interim government to provide job opportunities within the country to prevent illegal migration of young people to other countries.

"When our youth want to go to Iran and Pakistan, they only go for work. There are no opportunities for them to continue their education — those who have the opportunity for education are the ones who have money. Those who don't have money face only oppression, torture, and work," said Ramesh, a resident of Parwan.

Meanwhile, many young people migrate illegally to Iran and Pakistan for work, where in addition to facing forced deportation, they also encounter illegal treatment by the police and people of these two countries.
