Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister, during a farewell meeting with Yadgar Shadmanov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kabul, stated that the Islamic Emirate prioritizes positive engagement with countries based on its independent policy.
The Political Deputy of the Prime Minister said that the interim government has fulfilled its commitments to the international community and will not allow Afghan soil to be used against other countries.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews about this meeting: "The Political Deputy of the Prime Minister said that the Islamic Emirate, based on its independent policy, gives priority to positive engagement and wants to be part of economic projects in the region. It also aims to resolve discussion-worthy issues through dialogue."
According to Fitrat, in this meeting, Yadgar Shadmanov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, expressed that Uzbek officials are eager to strengthen political and economic relations with Afghanistan.
At the same time, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a meeting with Yadgar Shadmanov, stated that after the Islamic Emirate sends its ambassador to Uzbekistan, a new chapter of relations between the two countries will begin.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: "Amir Khan Muttaqi valued Uzbekistan's diplomatic presence in Kabul after the conquest, and stated that with the appointment of the Islamic Emirate's ambassador to Uzbekistan, a new chapter in relations between Kabul and Tashkent will also commence."
Political analysts stressed that the Islamic Emirate should establish positive relations and engage with all countries, including Uzbekistan, to address the challenges within the country.
"The interim government of Afghanistan should also open the way for engagement with countries, and this is a good step. Countries should also fulfill their responsibilities in establishing good relations and positive engagement with the Islamic Emirate," said Hamidullah Hotak, a political analyst.
"First, we must have good relations with the people of Afghanistan and meet their demands. After that, even if we do not seek it, regional and global countries will engage with us," said Salim Paigir, another political analyst.
According to the Presidential Palace’s statement, the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister said during the meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan that the interim government wants to participate in regional economic projects.
