Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, in response to recent remarks by Pakistan's former special envoy for Afghanistan Asif Ali Durrani, said that no group in Afghanistan poses a threat to other countries.
Fitrat told TOLOnews that the Islamic Emirate seeks good relations with all countries, including Pakistan.
"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assures all countries that there is no threat to other nations from Afghan soil, and the Islamic Emirate does not allow any foreign group to operate within Afghanistan," Hamdullah Fitrat said.
A day earlier, Asif Ali Durrani, Pakistan's former special envoy for Afghanistan, in an interview with a German media outlet, referred to Afghanistan-Pakistan relations and reiterated the claim that members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are present in Afghanistan.
Military analyst Abdul Hadi Quraishi, commenting on Asif Ali Durrani's claim, said: "The issue of TTP, which they mention as being present along the borders, is their perspective. The analysis of this viewpoint is their responsibility. Currently, there is no evidence of terrorism within Afghanistan."
Gul Mohammaddin Mohammadi, political analyst, said: "Asif Durrani's statements that TTP is in Afghanistan and is being funded from here are all baseless."
Previously, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations stated that despite differences, Islamabad has consistently supported engagement with Afghanistan and is committed to maintaining good relations with the Islamic Emirate.
