Training for Youth in 7 Professions Provided With Qatar's Cooperation

A program titled "Livelihood" has been launched in Kabul with the cooperation of Qatar and the Afghan Red Crescent Society.

According to officials, this program provides training in seven different professions for 150 young people from three provinces of the country over a period of five months.

Aziz Rahman, Deputy of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, said: "Around 50 young people from the provinces of Helmand, Farah, and Faryab will receive training in seven different professions for five months."

Abdul Bar, deputy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, said: "Qatar is like our second country; it has supported us in difficult times when the whole world was heading towards the destruction of Muslims."

Officials from the Qatari Red Crescent Society also assured the continuation of their cooperation with Afghanistan, saying that new programs will soon be launched to support an additional 324 families in various provinces.

The head of the Qatari Red Crescent said: "The Qatari Red Crescent will continue its cooperation with Afghanistan, and we also have another program under the title of 'Livelihood' that will provide job opportunities for another 324 families in different provinces, which will be inaugurated in the near future."

At the same time, some participating youth urge the Islamic Emirate and donor countries to provide more opportunities for young people.

Mohammad, a student, said: "The professions include tailoring, English, computers, welding, and construction. There are seven professions, and our request is that along with the training, we also get job opportunities."

According to officials from the Afghan Red Crescent Society, out of the 800 participants in this program, 650 are women, who will receive training in fields such as tailoring, embroidery, and food preparation for three months.
