Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, revealed to TOLOnews that during a recent Political Commission meeting led by Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, extensive discussions took place regarding both Afghanistan's political landscape and its security situation, with an emphasis on regional dynamics.
Fitrat noted that the meeting also prioritized the execution of major regional projects and the strengthening of diplomatic relations with various nations. The participants underscored Afghanistan's readiness to ensure the security of its borders, a key concern for neighboring countries.
Several high-ranking officials were present at the meeting, including Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, and Mohammad Ibrahim Sadr, Deputy Security Minister of Interior, along with other cabinet members.
"Based on the agenda, discussions were held on implementing large projects, securing borders, improving social conditions, and expanding political relations with some countries," Fitrat said.
He further stated that during the meeting, it was emphasized that no one would be allowed to use Afghanistan’s territory to pose threats to other nations.
Several political analysts consider the commission's meeting important for advancing relations with other countries and ensuring security.
Hanif Kharokhail, a political analyst, told TOLOnews: "There is no doubt that Afghanistan now enjoys security, and it is necessary for the world to recognize the Islamic Emirate. Unfortunately, although there has been engagement, the Islamic Emirate has not yet been officially recognized."
In a previous meeting of the Islamic Emirate’s Political Commission, it was similarly emphasized that the interim government seeks positive relations and cooperation with all countries worldwide.
