The Ministry of Justice has announced that in the past month, it has been able to identify over 250,000 jeribs of government land in 23 provinces of the country.
The spokesperson of the ministry says that during this period, more than 34,000 jeribs of land have been reclaimed in seven provinces, and over 560,000 jeribs of land in 33 provinces are under their review.
Barkatullah Rasooli, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Justice, said: "The process of reviewing, identifying, and reclaiming Emirate lands is ongoing in all provinces, and the cases of thousands of jeribs of seized Emirate land are under review by the Commission for the Prevention of Land Seizure and its provincial committees."

Some experts have also praised the reclaiming of seized government lands.
Sayed Akbar Sial Wardak, a political affairs expert, said: "This action (reclaiming government lands) can further strengthen the relationship between the system and the people, and it is a good step taken by the Islamic Emirate. I see it as a positive move."
Salim Paigir another political affairs expert, said: "In the past 44 years, lands, both government and private, as well as personal homes of the people, were seized by powerful individuals and groups. The Islamic Emirate must hold these individuals accountable and return the government lands and people’s homes to their rightful owners."
Previously, the Ministry of Justice reported that in the past year, it had been able to identify and free close to 44,000 jeribs of land, houses, shops, clinics, and other government properties from seizure.
