Israel’s Attack on Iran: Two Iranian Security Forces Killed

Iran has announced that two of its security personnel were killed in an Israeli attack on military targets within the country.

The Israeli airstrikes targeted sites at military centers in the cities of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam. Reports indicate that limited damage was inflicted on some locations, and the extent of the incident is under investigation.

An Iranian citizen commented on the attack, saying: “We are war-hardened. We are not shaken by these threats. Iran speaks the truth—that human lives, including children’s, should not be taken. This is not wrong.”

Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, condemned Israel’s actions as a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Iran, based on its right to self-defense as outlined in Article 51 of the UN Charter, considers it an obligation to defend itself against foreign acts of aggression.

In the statement, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the Zionist regime's aggressive actions against multiple military centers in Iran a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, particularly the principle prohibiting the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries, and condemns it in the strongest terms.”

Previously, Israel stated that its forces launched targeted attacks early this morning (Saturday) in response to Iranian missile strikes on Israeli targets.

According to Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israeli army, their forces attacked Iran’s missile defense systems and air capabilities.

The Israeli army spokesperson said, “We have attacked precisely and targeted targets in different areas of Iran, including areas with manufacturing facilities that Iran used to launch (missiles) toward the State of Israel over the past year. At the same time we have attacked Iran's surface-to-air missile arrays and air capabilities, which were designed to limit Israel's air action to operate in Iran.”

Earlier, on October 1, Iran had launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at targets in Israel in response to the deaths of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Abbas Nilforoushan, a commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, reportedly killed by Israel.
