Pakistan Stresses Dialogue for Resolving Challenges with Afghanistan

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry stated that Islamabad has always sought to resolve its challenges with Afghanistan through dialogue.

The ministry’s statement also mentioned that Pakistan will continue discussions with Afghanistan on bilateral cooperation.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said: “Pakistan has always opted for dialogue and consultation for resolution of any issues that exist between countries, including with our brotherly people of Afghanistan. We have also discussed with Afghanistan other aspects of bilateral cooperation and this dialogue with Afghanistan will continue.”

"Look at what’s happening to the people in Bannu! This situation has pushed people toward armed struggle against the government of Pakistan. The root cause lies within Pakistan itself, resulting in misguided TTP policies that Pakistan once imposed against its own tribal communities," said Mohammad Aslam Danishyar, a political analyst.

In another part of the statement, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry again urged Afghanistan to take practical steps against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said: “We believe that the Afghan authorities have the primary responsibility to take action against the terror groups, primarily TTP, that are based in Afghanistan.”

Although the Islamic Emirate has not recently commented on this matter, it has consistently denied the presence of TTP within its borders and deemed such claims baseless.

"Afghanistan’s caretaker government emphasizes economic priorities, non-interference in regional and international matters, and ensuring security. Can Pakistan provide such security for Afghanistan? Conflicts can be resolved through dialogue. If Pakistan engages in confrontation, its ultimate goal is to implement a strategic depth policy in governance," said Zalmay Afghan Yar, a military analyst.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister stated at the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit that Pakistan desires a stable and peaceful Afghanistan.
