Kabul Police Command: Significant Progress Made With Security

The spokesperson for the Kabul Police Command, Khalid Zadran, has stated that the command has successfully reduced crime levels and recently brought the kidnapping rate in the capital down to nearly zero percent.

Zadran pledged that security is being maintained, adding that the Islamic Emirate's security forces are working diligently to ensure stability across the country.

According to the Kabul Police Command's spokesperson, the command has apprehended dozens of individuals on charges including kidnapping and theft, who have been subsequently referred to the judicial and legal authorities.

Speaking to TOLOnews, the spokesperson for the Kabul Police Command said: "We have reduced the kidnapping rate to zero, and we have completely eliminated major criminals who used to steal dozens of vehicles daily in Kabul. Previously, between 30 to 35 vehicles would be stolen in a single district, but now there are weeks when not a single car is stolen across all of Kabul, which signifies our progress in this area."

Meanwhile, several residents of the capital, while expressing satisfaction with the security forces’ efforts to ensure safety, told TOLOnews that certain security challenges still remain unresolved. They called on security agencies to be more proactive in strengthening security.

Javid, a Kabul resident, said: "Our request to the Islamic Emirate is to prevent theft and the disappearance of vehicles occurring in some areas of Kabul so that thefts can be further reduced."

Siddiqullah, another resident of Kabul, said: "With the installation of security cameras, security has improved. If anyone tries to steal, rob, or engage in terrorism, they cannot enter these areas because the security system is much stronger."

However, some residents of the capital have previously voiced concerns over the lack of complete security in Kabul and have urged security agencies to take serious steps toward ensuring stability.
